We are excited to announce that the grant application submitted by Broadmoor Elementary has passed! A check for $1,050 was presented to Coach Whiting and Principal Apple in December and will be used to purchase additional basketballs for the gym students.
These will allow for new basketballs to be ready in time before the students begin their basketball unit after holiday break starting in January 2021.

Congratulations, Erin McGhee and
the Louisburg Elementary Schools!
We are excited to announce that all three Louisburg School District USD #416 Elementary Schools have been awarded a grant totalling the amount of $525!
Erin McGhee, a Louisburg community resident and USD #416 parent, submitted a grant request through our Community Grant Program. The request asked to install a communication board on the playground at Rockville Elementary, where her son is enrolled. Her grant request received unanimous approval from the PTO board and community that attended the General PTO meeting!
In working with our local Partners Print and Copy, LLC, they were able to help us out so much that we were able to provide not just the communication board for Rockville Elementary, but also one at each of the other two elementary schools! These boards provide feelings/symbols based communication for students who use other techniques to communicate. It will serve children with various speech language needs, as well as encourage students who do not have speech/ language needs to communicate with students who do.

Exciting news for Rockville Elementary School - USD 416!
We are happy to announce that the Rockville library grant request of $2000 received unanimous approval at our General Meeting last week!
Mrs. Melton submitted a grant request through our Community Grant Program, due to the number of books that were lost during last spring's COVID-19 school shut down. This grant allowed us to purchase enough to replenish what was lost and add additional titles that were on the school's wish list. This will impact every student at Rockville Elementary for many years to come.

The Louisburg Elementary PTO Board wants to thank our local businesses and community for always supporting us, which ultimately is what allows us to give grants like these!
