The LES PTO is celebrating “American Education Week” from Monday, November 16th through Friday, November 20th!

“American Education Week happens the week prior to the week of Thanksgiving. Each day of the week has its own theme, during which we celebrate our public school community. Festivities honor the team of people who work in our nation’s public schools, everyone from the bus driver and classroom teacher to the cafeteria worker and administrative staff, plus countless others.”

We are excited to celebrate this amazing week and in doing so we need YOUR HELP! Above is the themes listed for each day of the week, and below are ways that you can help us thank our amazing Louisburg Elementary educators!

  1. Sign up for items to fill Educator Baskets!

    • We are asking for donations and the LES PTO will put together the baskets. Please know that ALL of the donations will go to all three schools, unless you let us know which school you would prefer your donation go to.

    • You do not need to assemble the basket, simply drop off the items for that Educator at the below times

      • Thursday, November 12th from 5:30PM – 7:00PM @ the front drive of Broadmoor Elementary

      • Friday, November 13th from 10:00AM – 12:00PM @ the back parking lot of Broadmoor Elementary

    • The LES PTO will deliver your items to its respective school on Friday, November 20th!

  2. Parents, write a letter of support, testimonial or personal story of how the Louisburg Elementary Schools, or its staff, have impacted your life!

    • Please email them to contact@louisburgelementarypto.org by Friday, November 13th.

    • Please indicate if you would like to remain anonymous, as we will be sharing these publicly. If you would like it to be privately shared with the schools principal, please let us know and we will not publicly share it.

    • The letters will be published and delivered to the schools on Tuesday, November 17th in celebration for “Parents Day”

  3. Monday, November 16th - Have your student take a drawing or card to school which shows their support of their classroom teachers.

    • Ideas include having them describe what they like best about their teacher, their favorite class or what they like about their school

Please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have. The LES PTO truly appreciates the support that this community has continued providing over the years. The staff at our Louisburg Elementary Schools have commented over and over again about how much they feel loved and appreciated by you!

Be sure to follow us on our social media channels to learn more each day throughout American Education Week, and how we are celebrating all the educators that make our district so great!
