Broadmoor Elementary!

Cambria Fleming submitted a grant request for $350 to be used to purchase books and iPads for IEP students and special needs classesAmong the items purchased were 2 iPads and easy reader books to help the students achieve their AR goals.

Music teacher, Rose Bentley, submitted a grant request for $850 to be used towards the purchase of Orff Instruments for the music classroom.

Broadmoor & Rockville!

Tabitha Telken, Louisburg parent, submitted a grant for $225 to be used to purchase new playground equipment for Broadmoor & Rockville. Among the items purchased were new basketballs, soccer balls, footballs, jump ropes, hula hoops, sidewalk chalk, and more!!

Our board and the community voted unanimously to approve this grant. Pictured are the grant funds being presented to the Telken family.

Erin McGhee submitted a grant request for $525 to be used to purchase communication boards for each of the schools. These boards will be placed on the playgrounds at each school and will encourage students who do not have speech/language needs to communicate with students who do.

Our board and the community voted to approve this grant, it passed with majority vote on our online poll.

Congratulations, Rockville Elementary! 

Meghan Markle, Librarian at Rockville, submitted a grant request for $2,000 to purchase new library books for the Rockville students. The library was in need of more current and popular books for the students, and requested that those books be hard-backed, library editions that will last for years to come!

Our board and the community voted unanimously to approve this grant. Pictured are the grant funds being presented to Meghan by PTO member Peter Werkowitch.

Wayne Whiting, PE teacher at Broadmoor, submitted a grant request for $1,050 to purchase new basketballs for students in PE.
